We study how botanical compounds actually work at the cellular and genetic level, then translate that research into patented, peer-reviewed technology — using the same pharmaceutical-grade methods trusted by mainstream medicine.
Nutrigenomics:
How nutrients talk to your genes.
Nutrigenomics is the study of how food compounds affect gene expression — how a nutrient interacts with your DNA, and what that interaction produces at the cellular level. It's the science that lets us understand why a compound works, not just observe that it works.
We go further than identifying an active ingredient. We map how it modulates cell signaling, trace its epigenetic effects — how it can turn genetic activity up, down, on, or off — and follow that path far enough to identify patentable, reproducible activity. That's the difference between a commodity extract and a Biologic technology: one is observed, the other is engineered.
How we work
Our research evaluates how botanical extracts and their individual sub-fractions affect cell-surface and genomic targets, using the same models and standards used in pharmaceutical drug development.
This work does two things for the brands we license to:
✔️ It isolates what works. Extracting and testing individual sub-fractions lets us identify — and remove — the parts of a natural compound that don't contribute to (or actively work against) the desired effect.
✔️ It produces a defensible mechanism. When we can map exactly how a compound acts on a signaling pathway, your brand isn't just making a claim — it's citing a mechanism.
This is also how new patentable technology gets discovered in the first place: mapping a pathway thoroughly enough to find where nobody else has looked yet.

Why we do it
Biologic exists to close the gap between what natural compounds can do and what the supplement industry has historically been able to prove. Every technology we license is built to a standard: if we can't demonstrate the mechanism, we don't offer the molecule. That standard is what lets your product carry a claim backed by evidence, not just marketing language.
