Dr. Franco Cavaleri holds a B.Sc. in Human Nutrition and a Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine and Drug Pharmacology from the University of British Columbia. As Biologic's founder and lead investigator, he has spent three decades studying how botanical compounds work at the level of cell signaling and gene expression — and turning those discoveries into granted patents.

That distinction matters. The supplement industry is full of formulators who combine existing ingredients. Dr. Cavaleri creates new ones: engineered extracts and compound technologies whose mechanisms he has mapped, patented, and published in peer-reviewed journals spanning inflammation, metabolism, cognition, and neurodegeneration research. When Biologic makes a claim about an ingredient, the citation usually carries his name.

His path to the lab ran through elite sport — an IFBB Mr. North America title and a firsthand education in what performance nutrition promised but couldn't prove. Two successful natural-health companies later, that skepticism became Biologic's founding principle: if we can't demonstrate the mechanism, we don't sell the molecule.
